Know the amount of insurance you must carry

 

Florida Administrative Code Rule 61G4-15.003 requires that before you obtain an initial certificate or registration, or renew an active certificate or registration, or to change the status of an active certificate or registration, you submit a signed affidavit attesting to the fact that you have obtained and will maintain public liability and property damage insurance.  The amount of required liability insurance varies depending upon the license(s) you hold.  For a full list, click on the link below.

The Certificate of Insurance you provide must be prepared by an insurance agency and contain that meets the requirements of the Board, including the date that the Certificate of Insurance was issued, name of Insurance agent, the name of insured must reflect the exact name of the business organization qualified by the applicant, and the insured’s fictitious name or d/b/a, if any, the name of insurance company, the policy number must be on the Certificate and well as the effective date of policy and the expiration date of policy, and the certificate must show the proper aggregate amount of public liability and property damage insurance required.
